Best ways to Apply for Scholarships | Full Guide
Hi, I’m Mario Santos from Fanshawe College. If you’re
like most students, you’re probably wondering, how you’re going to pay for
college. Not to worry.
I’m here to walk you through the, scholarship applicationprocess at Fanshawe and help you tap into some of the money that’s, available
to students.
Before we get started, do you know what the difference between
a bursary and scholarship, is? If not, check out our video called “What’s the
difference between a scholarship and a, bursary?” at the link in our
description.
To apply for scholarships, head over to
fanshawec.ca/scholarships. Here you’ll find a number of great tools, and tips
to help you find and apply for scholarships, including a step-by-step
application guide.
Step 1: Click on the “Search and apply
for scholarships” button and log in using your, Fanshawe username and password.
Step 2: Before you apply for any
scholarships, fill out the general application when prompted.
Step 3: Once your general application is
completed, click on the “Opportunities” tab to view a full list of scholarships
you can apply for.
Step 4: Click on a specific scholarship and, follow the
instructions to submit an application for it. Be sure to keep an eye on the
deadline, date.
Step 5: That’s it! Just like a bursary application,
keep an eye on your email to see if you’ve been awarded a scholarship.
You can always, view your application status at the “MyApplications” tab. If you receive a scholarship, please keep in mind that they
are generally not applied, to outstanding tuition fees first, and you will
receive the funds directly in your bank, account, which we will email you about
with instructions on how to set up direct deposit.
Many scholarships are also presented at one of our annual
awards ceremonies.
